Why You Should Choose H3 Hair & Aesthetics

H3 is bonded and licensed by the State of Missouri and Illinois. H3 Technician is properly trained and certified to perform all aesthetic procedures. (Certifications are available upon request.) H3 is a proud fellow member of the American Academy of Micro-pigmentation and Permanent Makeup Society International.

What is permanent makeup and why use it?

  • This medically developed procedure is a method of implanting color pigments into the skin to create a lasting cosmetic effect. Permanent makeup gives you the freedom to swim, exercise, shower, and even cry-without smearing your makeup. Is saves time in your daily routine. It is great for people who are allergic to standard market cosmetics. It is ideal for cancer or thyroid patients.

How long does permanent makeup last and what colors are available?

  • The treatment is permanent. It will not wash off. However, it will soften with age, sun, skin peel, cleaning lotions and will sometimes need to be retouched in 5-10 years. Color selection today is unlimited, if you do not find a color on the color chart, a color can be custom blended to suit your needs.

How long does it take and does it hurt?

  • Most sessions take one to two hours. Eyebrow applications may take longer due to the design time. A retouch (which is included in the original fee) will take half hour to one hour. Your technician has been properly trained and certified in pain control. A topical numbing cream is applied. It is important that you do NOT us an injection to numb the area as this will cause the pigment to migrate in the skin. Comfort levels vary from person to person. Most people describe it as annoying rather than painful. The benefits far outweigh the discomfort.

Could I have an allergic reaction and is it safe?

  • There is very little chance of an allergic reaction, the pigments that are used are safe and approved for use on the face. A patch test is administered before proceeding. Yes!, this procedure is done under strict sterilization rules.

What procedures does H3 do?

To ensure you have a pleasant experience with H3, here is what you should know…..

What to expect the day of your appointment?

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Appointments are schedule according to your technician’s availability. This ensures no overbooking so that you receive the upmost customer service you deserve.  Arriving late will likely limit the time allocated for your service; it will lessen the effectiveness and most importantly your pleasure and enjoyment. As a courtesy to all clients our procedures are completed as scheduled. Cancellations of all procedures require a 24-hour notice. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in the cancellation of your appointment and cancellation fee. There is a no refund policy. Thank you for your consideration and understanding.

I’ve heard that these procedures require multiple sessions. Why is that necessary?

  • Multiple visits are necessary for several reasons. One is due to the condition of the skin. Each skin type is different. Some skin types are thicker and healthier and more pigment will be retained in one session. Also, fine details, additional color depth, or design adjustments are easily made after the initial healing is complete. A follow-up visit is scheduled, if only to observe the healed outcome of the procedure, and agree that no further work is necessary. Heavy eyeliner will require 3-4 visits. Remember that, once your eyeliner is to your liking, it will last for several years and most likely, your lifetime! Discuss any concerns you have with your technician. Be very clear on what to expect during the process of having permanent cosmetics.

  • Typically it takes 2 seatings to achieve a desired result. Seatings are scheduled a minimum of four weeks apart in order to allow time for healing.

Is it safe? Does it hurt?

  • H3 takes serious precaution for your safety. All needles and tubes are for one time use and disposed of after each procedure. Topical numbing agents are used and very effective in making the procedures more tolerable and pain free.

What are the pigments made of?

  • Permanent cosmetic pigment is made of all natural minerals (priceless for those allergic to traditional cosmetics), and can fade over time, especially with prolonged sun exposure.  ALWAYS wear SPF (even in the winter!) to protect your skin and your investment in yourself.  Color boosting your make up every 1 to 7 years is the best way to keep your fresh, youthful color.  Every person’s skin is unique, as will be your make-up.  Carmella always gives 150% and prides herself in her artwork, a feeling that is obvious when you are in her hands.  Yes, you can wake-up with make-up, you can exercise, swim, sweat and play with no smears or smudges.
