Five Ways to Boost Your Confidence & Self-Esteem When Experiencing Hair Loss
Losing your hair can be very traumatic especially if your hair loss is beyond your control. When you are losing your hair you become very conscientious. I know from experience because I experienced temporary hair loss due as part of my post-partum pregnancy. Although you are experiencing hair loss, do not let it take over your life. If you haven’t already, I invite you to read my blog titled “Not All Hair Loss Is Permanent.” Knowing the root cause of your hair loss will help you cope with it easier. A hair professional like myself or someone in the medical field can help you.
Although you may be experiencing hair loss, you can still look and feel good. Here are five ways to boost your confidence & self-esteem despite hair loss:
1) Take good care of your skin.
The skin is the largest organ of the body. When your skin is radiant and youthful looking, it can make a huge difference. To achieve clear and even-tone skin, follow a simple skin regime and make it a habit to use sunscreen to protect yourself from the harmful rays of the sun. Avoid smoking and get plenty of rest.
2) Enhance your appearance by wearing makeup and accessories.
3) Start a self-care regime.
The best investment you can ever make is in yourself! What do you like to do to de-stress? What makes you smile and laugh? Consider:
-
journaling,
-
spend time alone and get to know yourself,
-
go outside and enjoy nature,
-
start that new fitness class you always wanted to try, or
-
take that girlfriends getaway you been talking about for years.
